Your new wellness program manager and coach: Victoria Carver
October 14, 2019
Hi, I am Victoria Carver, your new on-site wellness coach. I have always had a passion for healthcare, but it wasn't until I graduated from college that my journey into wellness began. I started training for triathlons and went from couch to Ironman in a year and a half. I was so amazed at how much my life benefited through healthy eating and exercise that I completely changed the course of my career. Where I always thought I would attend medical school; I decided instead to pursue a master's degree in Public Health through the University of North Texas' Health Science Center. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥ reach their health and wellness potential on a larger scale than traditional medicine could offer.

You can now connect your Apple or Google (Android) device for activity tracking through the health kit on those devices. You still need to take a health risk assessment and have a biometric screening but now we call those "point" activities instead of credits. This means you need 7 points instead of 5 on the old plan, but it's all the same activities. And for those who like to collect points, we're offering a special raffle later on for those who earn up to 12 points!

New Human Resources organization went live on Sept. 16
September 16, 2019
On May 6, UA announced a system-wide redesign of human resources into a unified office organized by areas of functional expertise. The directors of each functional area began reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer and working on finalizing implementation and training plans this summer. All other human resources staff that went through the redesign process will officially start in their new capacity Sept. 16, 2019. There are no changes to local embedded HR support staff (PPAs and CCC) in the department. By creating a single human resources organization with a unified presence on all campuses we can benefit from the shared scope of services as well as utilize the knowledge on the local campuses to provide a higher level of service overall. Please see the information below.
