Level Up Your Cybersecurity: Join UA’s New Awareness Program

March 7, 2025

OIT Information Security and Assurance is excited to announce the pilot of our opt-in Advanced Security Awareness Program (ASAP) in partnership with KnowBe4!

This pilot program is aimed at changing the way we approach training. Instead of a more lengthy session each fall, you can now opt into a more engaging format that breaks the training into four quick 5-minute assignments. Each quarter, you’ll receive a new assignment designed to tackle the specific cybersecurity threats that the University faces today, including phishing, social engineering, AI-driven scams, and more!

Simulated Phishing Exercises
As part of this program, you’ll also sharpen your cyber-smarts—our periodic fake phishing emails are your secret weapon against real scams, helping you spot and stop threats before they strike! Learn how to spot phishing “red flags” in real-world scenarios with responsive emails so you can hone your cybercrime-fighting skills in safety!

Monthly Newsletter and Raffle
By participating in the Opt-In program, you’ll not only enhance your cybersecurity knowledge but also gain the chance to enter our exclusive monthly raffle! Just read a short newsletter, and you could be the lucky winner selected at the end of each month to receive a fantastic prize delivered right to your office. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and show off your new swag—impress your colleagues and contribute to our collective security efforts!

Leaderboard
For those who enjoy a good competition, managers can enroll their department members to participate as a team. Compete against other departments for cybersecurity awareness badges—and earn some bragging rights—while striving for the top spot on the leaderboard!
